THE LOONEY FAMILY REUNION

On Saturday, June 4th, Shelter # 1 at Fishtrap Dam became a 'Looney Bin' for the day as descendants of Herbert (Hub) & John Looney gathered for food, fun, friendship and sharing fond memories. Cousins Emma Jean, Barbara and Patsy did a great job organizing everything and a good crowd showed up.

Patsy's husband Bart fried up about a ton of fish, everyone brought a dish or two and there was more than enough food for everyone (always an important concern when any Stalkers are invited). We all spent the day chatting, catching up with old friends and meeting relatives that many of us didn't know we had.

We all gathered up in family groups for photos. (NOTE: Click on any of the photos to view them full size.)

( I see some LooneyStalkers in this bunch.)

Who knew there was so many Looneys?

More Looneys. Barbara Jean ( in the middle ) works at the same company as Jennie Lynn.

Another bunch of Looney descendants.

More Looneys

Linda Lou and Patsy traveled from Tennessee for the gathering and their sister Janet came from Richmond.

Carolyn explains how she is going to choke Willie's neck if he doesn't get off the Internet so she can connect and do important things like checking the StalkerClan. He is always online doing piddling stuff like managing their investments and working the stock market.

Bart deserves a special thanks for his hard work. He fried up enough fish to feed an army. It was all bass that had been caught in Tennessee and it was delicious.

He probably needs to start fishing now to feed this bunch when we get together again in two years.

Jeffery Hen - Panda's First Birthday

When Roo left out the window to do his morning crowing, Jeffery Hen reminded him that today was Panda's birthday. All of the roosters came out of their hen houses to do the morning's hunt. Before Roo stopped crowing he crowed the last crow saying, "Today is Panda's first birthday!"

It seemed like every chick in the neighbor came over to Panda's house to wish her a happy birthday. Jeffery Hen didn't know what to do about the crowd of little chicks all over the hen house. She told Panda and the chicks to come outside where there is more room.

All of the chicks wanted to sing,

Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday, Dear Panda,
Happy Birthday to You.

Because it was Panda's birthday everybody wanted to celebrate the whole day. It seemed like everybody wanted to stay around the hen house and play with Panda all day. Jeffery Hen had the hardest time ever was keeping everybody in line.

When the roosters came in from their hunt the chicks wanted Panda to take the first bite of the hunt for the day. When Panda took the wheat seed from Mike Stone, quick as she gobbled all of them up everybody yelled "Hurray!"

All of the roosters and chickens said, "Happy Birthday Panda!"

Panda chirped out and said, "Thank you!"

The chicks make a little nest and put Panda in it and said, "Panda is going to lay an egg!"

Everybody standing around laughed about the whole entire thing. When Panda got up she looked back into the nest and saw a round, white rock laying in the nest. She thought she did lay an egg and got all excited. Jeffery Hen when over to see what was the matter. She picked up the rock and said, "Panda, it's only a rock."

Panda was very unhappy about this because she wanted to feel like she can lay an egg.

"What a day," said Jeffery Hen, "thank goodness it's over for a year."
