Mom's Unknown Photos

I've scanned a bunch of the photos in Mom's Memory Box. This album in my Google Photos contains about a hundred that I can't identify. If you can put a name to any of them let me know.

If you have Google Photos on your PC or your phone, you should be able to look at these like you do your own photos.   Check a photo's info to see if I have added any comments or indicated if anything was written on the back of the photo.

Silly Sunday Sketches - Traci and Crystal

Since Traci and Crystal are so accurately portrayed as monkeys, I suspect Amber was the artist in this case...

Digging into Mom's Memory Box again.  Any idea who this young schoolboy could be?

Friday's Fun Foto #19

Last Sunday's Silly Sketch may have been based on the same short nap as today's Fun Foto.  I'm sure I was only there for a couple of minutes.

Ten Years Ago Today

I can't believe it has already been ten years since Florida's football team beat Kentucky's 63 - 5 on that sad, mournful Saturday back in 2008.  I remember just catching the score at various times in the game.  There was something happening that day and I didn't get to watch or listen to it as usual.

I recall there was a lot of crying going on.  I wonder if there was any mention of it on the StalkerClan.  Let's see what we can find...

10/24/2008     Wedding Wilkfest
10/27/2008     Wedding Conversations
10/28/2008     Wedding Description - Luci's Version
10/29/2008     Wedding Description - Clyde's Version
10/30/2008     Welcome Spickler Family
11/05/2008     Wedding Thoughts

Gosh, the football game was only mentioned in one story.  Some people just can't get their priorities straight.  I guess I probably need to say...

HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY
SHAWN & JENNIFER

ps:  Kentucky finally beat Florida 27 - 16 this year.

Sherry suggested I post something on Shawn & Jennifer's Anniversary, this may not be what she intended.

Silly Sunday Sketches - Clyde on the Couch

I'm not sure what the artist was trying to say in this portrait...

Glasses, mustache, cigarette, stinky feet ... yes, that's me.  Wait a minute, I can't tell, am I wearing pants or not?

Silly Sunday Sketches - Bryan Fishing

Bryan had years of bad luck fishing before he finally caught his big fish.  This sketch captures the time he cast his bait out into the lake and his rod went with it.  He was left holding just his reel.

I don't know which of the Guinea Girls was the artist.

Drawing the Line

After yesterday's post, there may be some people wondering if there is anything I wouldn't post on the StalkerClan.  I obviously enjoy embarrassing family members, especially teenagers - my favorite victims.

I've been wondering, where would I draw the line when it comes to what to post?

For instance, if a certain fellow was having a birthday, would I post a picture of him as a youngster sharing a bathtub with a cousin?

Of course, I would. I've probably done it a dozen times already.

How about a photo of him showing off his manly physique?

Hey, I'd post that without a second thought.

A slightly messy photo from the dinner table?

Have you seen some of the photos I've posted of his grandmother?  Obviously, I'd post it.

Would I post a school photo that might have been scheduled at an unfortunate time?

My conscience would bother me just for a second or two but, yes, I would probably post it.

Would I 'Doctor Up' a candid pic of him with lipstick, glasses, sombrero and whatever?

NO, NO, NO! This is way over the line.

What if his OTHER girlfriends were to see this?

I wouldn't do that to anyone.  Not even someone who once caught me downwind of him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAMERON!

Birthday Dilemma

It's always hard for me when one of the teenage guys on the StalkerClan has a birthday.  I want to post something impressive about them, but I know I have to be careful not to embarrass them.  Teenage boys are so sensitive, I don't dare display anything they wouldn't want their friends, or "Heavens Forbid" a potential GIRLFRIEND to see.

Here's my dilemma today...I have this nice video of Caleb singing that I got off his Twitter feed.  He's got those "young Tom Cruise" good looks, plus the musical skills that I know will impress many a current or future girlfriend.

Since he posted it on Twitter I don't think he would be embarrassed if I posted it on the StalkerClan, but I can't be sure.

On the other hand, I could post this photo from a few years ago...

There might be lots of his friends who would be much more impressed by this.  What should I do?

Can you see my predicament?

Silly Sunday Sketches - Ski-Biscuit

Here is my sketch of the infamous Ski-Biscuit Incident from thirty-some years ago...

An astute observer, looking at this, will notice that my right foot is where my left foot should be, and vice-a-versa.  Also, my legs are waaaay too far apart.  That's pretty much how I ended up.

The more typical StalkerClan reader will look at this and think, "Wonder where Crystal's nose is stuck?"

Birthday Boy - Oct. 5th

Found this in Mom's box of memories...

I'm pretty sure this is a photo of Uncle Willie.  It may have been taken on Road Creek, I'm not sure.  It is dated June 1964 but the hillside looks like it was taken much earlier in the spring.  This would have been not too long before Aunt Carolyn went temporarily blind and ended up a part of our family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE WILLIE

How to Add a Comment

Leaving a comment to one of the stories on the StalkerClan is not as easy at used to be.  Google has changed the process to eliminate computer generated SPAM that a lot of blogs receive.  The new comment system requires several steps.

As before you click on the word COMMENTS at the bottom of a story to begin a comment.  A form will be displayed where you can enter your comment.  You must also select from one of three ways to let everyone know who is making the comment, your identity.

This identity step seems to be the most confusing part of the process.  There are three options:

1. If you have a Google/Gmail Account you can select that option and enter your Gmail address to identify yourself.

2. You can select Name/URL to enter a name or internet address to let us know who you are.  This is probably the easiest and most used option.  ( See Below )  Don't worry about the URL blank.  It is not required.

3.  You can select Anonymous if you don't want anyone to know who is commenting.

For example, if you choose Option 2 you will get the following...

Regardless of which Option you choose regarding Identity, there are a few more steps to actually get your comment displayed.  When you are finished editing your comment and have selected your Identity you must Publish your comment.

You would think that would be enough but no, there is still another step to take.  You will be asked to prove you are not a robot.

If by some miracle you are able to get through all this your comment should magically appear on the StalkerClan.  Gosh, I miss the good old days on Zoomshare when it was all so much simpler.

MMB - Unknown Photo #5

Another photo from Mom's Memory Book...

For some reason, I think this may be an old boyfriend of Michelle's.   Can't remember the name though...Tim or Timmy maybe?  Can anyone identify him?
