Jeffery Hen - Panda Wants to Play

When Jeffery Hen got back home, Panda was throwing a big fit about not getting to play with the other chicks. Jeffery Hen said, "Panda, it time for you to take a nap."

Panda didn't want to go to sleep. Panda finally cried herself to sleep. She slept till about bed time and she woke up, and when she did she kept everybody in the hen house awake.

Roo and Bear decided they would sleep up in the tree. They flew out of the window and roosted together on a branch. Quick as they got to sleep; it started to rain and when it did they woke up in the biggest misery ever was. It was so dark that they couldn't see, but they sure can hear. They follow the noise that Panda was making in their hen house and knew right where to go. It took them awhile to get into the hen house and when they did they were soaked to the bone. Water was just a dripping off of them.

Roo said, "For once we got some use out of that mouth of hers."

Jeffery Hen said, "What do you mean, you got some use out of it?"

Roo said, "We couldn't see to know how to get here so we followed the noise she was making."

Outside the rain was just pouring; so everybody in the hen house just perched on the perching rod and all at once they all fell asleep. The next day when the sun came out nobody in Roo's hen house noticed it because they were still sleeping. The rain was still pouring outside that nobody could get out to do anything no way.

When the rain finally stopped it was pass noon and everybody in Chickenville seem to be coming out of their hen houses all at once. It was too late for Roo to start crowing so every rooster including Roo went on the hunt. The problem they had was that everything they would find was soaking with rain.

Back at the hen house Panda was crying for something to eat and wanted to go out and play. Jeffery Hen had to comfort her the best she could. She said, "Panda, we are all hungry and you can't go outside because it is just too wet."

When the roosters did come back from the hunt everybody ate like they were starved to dead. The roosters see that they will have to leave again and get back before dark with enough for everybody to eat before roosting time. Panda was still crying because she didn't get enough to eat and she also got so dirty in the mud that Jeffery Hen had to take her to the watering hole to clean her.

Jeffery Hen - Patricia Hen Lays An Egg

While everybody in the henhouse was having a time out of Panda misbehaving and the complaining of the other chickens in the neighborhood; outside Mike Stone flew upon his henhouse and announced the laying of Patricia Hen's egg. Jeffery Hen wanted to go and see Patricia Hen's egg. Panda wanted to go too. Jeffery Hen didn't know what to do; she knew if she took her she wouldn't behave herself and if she didn't she would act even worst. She decided she would take her but stay only a very short time.

When Jeffery Hen and Panda got to the house it seems like every chick in the neighbor wanted to go into the house and see the egg also. Jeffery Hen didn't know what to do.

Mike Stone stopped crowing because he didn't want all of the little chicks inside of his henhouse. When he got down he told Jeffery Hen she can go into the house and he would stay outside and entertain them the best he could.

Jeffery Hen went inside the henhouse and Panda wanted to go inside too. Mike said, "Don't you want to play with all of your friends out here; it sure looks like you sure have a big lot of chicks to play with out here."

Panda wanted to see the egg.

Mike said, "Well, okay, but we will have to take turns, I can't let all of you in at once." Mike picked Panda up first and took her inside and when he did Jeffery Hen just got her and went home right after they showed her the egg. Outside Mike picked up Vonda, Vicki Hen's twin daughter, and took her in next. He kept his word about letting them all see the egg.
