A Teacher Who Makes a Difference

The University of Kentucky College of Education annually takes nominations and honors past graduates who have become exceptional teachers.

One of only 114 educators chosen to be honored this year is our very own Veronica Melton.  (You may know her better as Emerson’s Mom.)

This is a very big deal!  The College of Education’s video promoting the program features Kyle Macy.   It doesn’t get much bigger than that in Big Blue Country.

There was a good article in Sunday’s Lexington Herald-Leader about the program.  Only a couple of the teachers are profiled but you can tell this is a pretty prestigious award.

CONGRATULATIONS VERONICA!

We’re all very proud of you.

Star of The StalkerClan – Senior Citizen Category

A certain member of the StalkerClan was in the news media not too long ago.  I don’t think you will have any problem finding him in this photo…

The article also had a picture of the staff at the Elkhorn City Senior Citizens Center.

According to Dad …  “Tootsie” is the one who does all the work and is the best cook around,  Martha  never spoons out big enough portions for him, and Sarah doesn’t do much of anything at all.  At least, that’s how he tells it.

Caleb is Out of Surgery

The last report I had Caleb was out of surgery (his second this week) and was doing well.
Here is a photo that Crystal sent.  She said this was right after he came out of surgery.

Mom’s Breakfast Order

Dad called me this morning all in a huff.  He couldn’t believe the order that Mom had put in for breakfast this morning.  (He has been fixing breakfast some mornings lately.)  He had mentioned it to Jeff during their early morning phone conversation today.  He told me, “Jeffery laughed and insisted that I have you put it on the StalkerClan.”

Apparently, Mom’s order was something like this:

I thought that menu looked familiar somehow.  It took me a minute or two to remember but that is exactly what Dad had Jeff or Randy make for him every morning we were in Florida on our last fishing trip.  Of course there was no chance he was going to still be asleep at 7:oo or 6:00 or 5:30 for that matter.

An Easter Birthday

What should you get a fellow who has a birthday on Easter Sunday?

Bunny slippers maybe?

Aunt Luci thinks I'm a four year old girl.

No, a fellow who has a birthday on Easter Sunday needs the whole Bunny Suit.

How could you do this to me, Uncle Clyde?

HAPPY EASTER BIRTHDAY JUSTIN !
