I remember visiting Joe and Wanda one time. While I was there Wanda was putting some kind of medicine on this white dog of theirs. If I remember correctly it had some kind of skin infection. When Wanda got finished putting the medicine all over the dog, the dog looked purple.
I was with Dad the next day. We were going by Joe's. Dad yelled, "Who painted that dog purple." I liked to died laughing.

Causby Bailey
Our Great-grandmother Cosby Bailey passed away on February 5th in 1915. After resting for 100 years in the little hillside cemetery on Jessee's Branch, her grave was recently moved to the Dow Brooks Cemetery.
I have added this info to the page about her on the Diggin' Up Bones website.

A Rax's Memory
I remember Mother going to Clyde's to spend the day. I don't know if Dad was with them or not.
I gave her two Rax coupons to buy their lunch. One of the coupons read getting so much off a salad, limit two. The other one said, "Uncle Al, 99¢ each, limit four." I told mother about the two limits on each of the coupons.
When she got home she told me that they purchased four Uncle Als and two salads using both coupons to the limit.
