A Teacher Who Makes a Difference

The University of Kentucky College of Education annually takes nominations and honors past graduates who have become exceptional teachers.

One of only 114 educators chosen to be honored this year is our very own Veronica Melton.  (You may know her better as Emerson’s Mom.)

This is a very big deal!  The College of Education’s video promoting the program features Kyle Macy.   It doesn’t get much bigger than that in Big Blue Country.

There was a good article in Sunday’s Lexington Herald-Leader about the program.  Only a couple of the teachers are profiled but you can tell this is a pretty prestigious award.

CONGRATULATIONS VERONICA!

We’re all very proud of you.

"Children in a happy environment learn," the retired teacher said. "And if they like their teacher, they even try harder."

Iliked that quote from the 90 year old school teacher.
