The Barn Raising

From the looks of the pictures I received there must have been a lot of work done in Mt. Sterling this past weekend.

As usual, Jim is working in every shot, Luci shows up when there is food in the picture and Michelle is no where to be found (there was WORK going on.)

Maybe Luci and Michelle can tell us a little about it in the comments.

We had a wonderful time, Luci and I kept the food a coming and keeping those working mens bellies full. Jut and Jeremy were great little gofers. Jim and Oliver were the mastermindes of the operation. Shawn, Chris and Pat worked their muscles on the lifting and hammering. Shawn was still plotting on how to make the job easier using robots, pullies and fulcrum. Ted did the machine operations. When we finished up I said are you ok Chris? He said he was hammering one nail away from dead. We hope Chris is pleased with how far they got his building. I said from now on when I talk to Chris I am going to start each converstaion with ..."Do you remember the summer of '09 it was the hottest summer in 40 years and your Uncle Jim worked for 3 days and 2 nights on you building

The guys really worked hard. Chris is thrilled with the progress they made. Jim and Oliver are really professional. They made sure every board was level and square. I was really impressed. Michelle and I got pretty good at slapping ham and cheese on bread. We had an assembly line going there at one time. It was reminiscent of the donut hole assembly line but instead of one big cavernous hole at the end we had a dozen holes to fill. All in all everyone actually seemed to have a pretty good time.
