Jeffery Hen - The Baby Gets a New Name

Jeffery Hen and Roo were in the henhouse very upset over the baby not being a boy. They put the baby into the nest. They couldn't think up a name that both of them would agree upon. Quick as the sun went down Bear and Panda came into the henhouse.  They all stood around the nest and watched the baby move around. Bear didn't know what to think about having another sister, Panda was glad to have a baby sister. They looked at her and Jeffery Hen said, "Her eyes are like Crystal, and it's in the dawn of the day."

Crystal FawnRoo said, "Crystal Dawn!"

All of them said, "Yes, Crystal Dawn! Crystal Dawn it is."

Jeffery Hen said, "We'll nickname her Crystal Fawn."

That night the baby and Jeffery Hen slept in the nest as always, the rest slept on the roosting rod. The next morning, at the waking of Roo's crowing, they all woke up to another day. When Roo stopped crowing they all went outside.

Everybody was wanting to know, what did they name the baby?  Panda said, "Crystal Dawn, but we are going to call her Crystal Fawn."

Two HenTales in a Row

The only thing hitting my inbox lately has been Sherry's Hentales. Pretty soon we will need to change the name of the website to "The SquawkerClan".

Sherry thought it might take a few years to finish the HenTale book, but at this rate, it may be what everyone gets for Christmas next year.

I am going to need a title for the book. Does "Remember Hen" sound too much like "Remember When"? People might get confused and order the wrong book.

Hey, if we name it "Harry Potter and the Chicken Coop" it might sell a lot of copies. Something to think about.

I have hit a lul in my story life. Usually I had something exciting all the time. Now it is more like 2 times a year.

Yeah, True That. The most exciting thing to happen to me in the last little while has been Blair working on potty training. Trey came in the house and told me that Blair was flashing his "tallywacker" around the yard for neighbors to see. and shouting "DON'T LOOK AT ME !! DON'T LOOK AT ME !!" He's getting the jist of it though.
